The Citadel

So here's my first mini for my new legion am old school chaos psyker.... Mini was primed with Vallejo surface primer desert tan and then painted using army painter paints. Colours used: Wizards Orb Elemental Bolt Green tone This was for the cloth Crystal Blue Troglodyte Blue Blue tone For the wires and psyker bits Cultists robe for the weapons True copper for the metal parts Agrax earthshade gloss for the armour wash. The reason why I use a gloss wash for these as it doeatdo filter the colour of the armour as much as the Matt version and so keeps the desert tan shade rather than a murky brown but dirty up the armour enough. The Scorpion's Claw So me and a bunch of mates are returning to 40k starting with 500pts and building by 100pts per month to 2k. With the new Shadow spear set released and chaos getting some lovely new mini's I've decided to build my own chaos host of the Scorpion's Claw. Tonight I primed the mini's using Vallejo surface primer desert tan, now comes the wait for the primer to dry overnight so I'll work on my test mini tomorrow now and post up some pics. I also found a dark angel's Chaplin the limited edition one from dark venegance which I'm gonna use as a fallen dark apostle to lead the merry band at 500pts especially with the new prayers coming up with codex 2.0. Overall I'm excited to be returning to 40k in a fun format. More pics and detailed paints as I continue on the project and also my 500pt list to follow.
