New Year Sighted....Back to Team Yankee

So my regular gaming group have decided to go with Team Yankee as the game of the new year starting out at 50pts. I'd already brought quite a few bits and pieces over the last 18months but got distracted as per usual with other projects and a break from gaming.

So with the release of Stripes I've decided to re visit my desert themed force, I made progress on the M1A1s (will run as IPM1 for now) earlier in the year but still need to add the finishing touches.

However with addition of M60s in Stripes giving the US a MBT option coming in at 4pts a piece with the same gun as the M1 and the addition of the M113 scout units it opens up more options for list building as the IPM1 comes in a 9pts a piece.

So I've decided to start out with a mech infantry force and my initial list is looking like this:

Mech Formation

M113 HQ 1

Mech Platoon Alpha xtra dragon 7

Mech platoon Bravo xtra dragon 7

M113 Scout (2x2) 4

M901 ITV (2x3) 9

M106 Mortars 3

M60s (x3) 12

Support

M163 Vads (x4) 6

Total 49pts

Eventually I plan to run a multi formation Armored Cav with IPM1 and Mech infantry to head upto 100pts, I've also a few different support options to swap out in my intitial 50pts to get a feel for how TY plays.

So my holiday plans are to get my Ryans Leathernecks box set made and start painting my first mech platoon. I've decided to use bradleys as a stand in for M113 as I own the minis and find it a more interesting model, I will just use the M113 unit card as personally I'm not a fan of homebrew stats.

The infantry's battle taxis.... time to fire up the airbrush again.

Before I go theres a couple of other pages I want to link to, first up is a online list builder for TY (hopefullly Stripes will be added soon) .

TY Online List Builder

Also is butlers printed models as an alternative source for your minis, I've brought some of their ww2 range and will be putting in an order for my M106 and scout units for the new year so will post up pics when they arrive.

So Happy Holidays everyone...
